Laura is a PhD student in Geosciences. She is studying visible/ near-infrared and thermal infrared spectroscopy under a simulated asteroid environment. Using multivariate analysis, she is working to estimate mineral abundances on the asteroid Bennu, in support of the on-going OSIRIS-REx NASA mission.
Alex is a PhD student in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology. She is studying the movement of cancer cells through blood vessels and how the cells decide on a site of metastasis. She enjoys backpacking, baking, and long walks on the beach with her dog, Murphy.
Mitesh is a Master’s student in the Computer Science department. He is currently working on developing EDDIE, a knowledge-backed intelligent dialog agent, using natural language processing and information retrieval techniques.

Ana Paula Delgado
Ana is a PhD candidate in the Genetics program. She uses single-cell RNA sequencing to study the changes in the tumor microenvironment during breast cancer progression. She is part of the Center for Inclusive Education (CIE), and recently became a recipient of the Turner Dissertation Fellowship.
